Formed
recently through a decision of the Council of Ministers, the
Ethiopian Dry Ports Enterprise is set to have a second dry
port built at Semera Town of the Afar Regional State, 558Km
to the east of Addis Ababa. |

Officials of the federal government are disappointed
with the delay in the launch of the new Tendaho
Sugar Factory construction project. Girma Birru,
minister of Trade and Industry (MoTI) has, two weeks
ago, instructed the project winner, Overseas
Infrastructure Alliance (India) Pvt Ltd Co (OIA), to
commence construction by May 15, 2008. |

the next budget year concluded with a proposal that
a new "Institute of Science" be built in Dukem. This
decision was made with a view towards augmenting the

are pleased with the ascending remittances flowing
