Yet another extravaganza for the Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day, celebrated on December 9, 2007. The event, held for the second time in the town of Hawassa, has attracted a staggering 10,000 guests from different parts of the country. The Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC), which has spent in leaps and bounds to sponsor the event, has been the centre of discussion among many. The Corporation has spent around half a million Birr to support the event. Moreover, the celebration’s live broadcast on the Ethiopian Television (ETV) was made through the Corporation’s transmission line. Here in the picture are Ethiopian President Girma W.
