Salome
was born in Washington DC where her father Yilma Deressa,
served as Ethiopia's Ambassador to the US and United Nations
(UN). Inspired by the doll collection begun at a young age
when her parents brought dolls from all over the world
through diplomatic travels, her company targets girls
between the age of eight and 16, hoping to spread knowledge
about culture. Graduating from Adelphi University in New
York with a degree in Fine Arts and then working for a
number of publishing houses, Salome teamed up with
Yeworkwoha in New York. |
