Consta to Resume Work on Ethio-Djibouti
Railway |

A decision has now been reached for Consta Joint
Venture (JV), the Italian firm, to continue work on
the railway after a meeting at the Ministry of
Finance and Economic Development (MoFED) involving
Ethiopian and Djibouti officials, officials of the
EU, the project financier as well as officials of
the Ethio-Djibouti Railway Enterprise.

Court Jolts EEPCo for 2.4m Br over Contractor Claim |

The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) was
ordered by the Federal High Court, on March 26,
2010, to pay 2.4 million Br plus interest at nine
per cent to Ethio-General Contractor for declining
to pay for the additional work done on the Melka
Wakena Project by the contractor. |
