"The imprisonment of Birtukan [Mideksa] demonstrates the annihilation of justice in the country."

Seyee Abreha, former Defense Minister of Ethiopia who recently joined an opposition consortium, the Forum for Justice and Democratic Dialogue (FJDD), and is currently the vice president for public relations for Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ), said in an interview with the Amharic weekly Mesenazeriya on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. The demand for the release of Birtukan, leader of UDJ, should not only be the agenda of UDJ and a few other politicians but also that of all Ethiopians, he said.
