A FIAT truck and its trailer overturned, smashing 1,400 crates of soft drinks from the Coca Cola company loaded onto them to the ground last Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at about 12:00pm. The incident occurred when the driver of the truck experienced problems when applying the brakes. Fortunately, both the driver and his assistant escaped unscathed from the debris of broken bottles. Unfortunately, however, a pedestrian was killed in the accident. There were no fatal injuries, though, according to accounts of Tsega Hargot, the truck driver’s assistant. Only 500 of the crates were left undamaged.
